Al-Fatihah To Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

It's Monday, 24th of September. 3 days after the burial of adik Nurin Jazlin Jazimin, the eight year old victim of sexual abuse who had been missing for nearly one month before her body was found stuffed inside a gym bag in PJ. I did followed her case since she went missing when she left her house to a nearby pasar malam. With the wide search campaign and teams, I was half expected that she would be found - safe and sound, just like the case of Yin.

Therefore, when the news highlighted about the battered body of a young girl found in a bag, I did not think it was Nurin. Moreover, I really could not read about what the poor girl had went through before she stop breathing. It was too...too cruel..I normally skipped details of that kind of news...it's so sickening! But, of course, I still get the updates from the people around me and from TV/radio in my car. I did thought about writing earlier on this before, but I just can't. My post today came after I just read an email send by a friend about Nurin and her dreadful ordeal which was told by the email's creator who attended her funeral(who happened to be a relative to her). It's the state of her body. I found tears in my eyes when I read through the email. I really couldn't imagine the pain she had to went through. And I couldn't imagine what kind of monster her murderer is and I really hope that he/she or they will get the punishment soon. Al-fatihah to Nurin.

Kau bagai kelkatu
Yang tertawan oleh cahaya
Hiruk pikuk malam
Menggamit langkahmu
Berteman tiada
Kau tega melangkah
Di daerah yang bukan asing
Hanya sepelaung dari rumahmu

Sayang perjalanan seminit dua
Bertukar menjadi detik panjang nan seksa
Yang tidak pernah terlintas oleh siapa-siapa
Yang tiada prasangka
Pada suasana yang lazimnya biasa

Seluruh penjuru kau kami jejaki
Bertanya khabar merata-rata
Mengedar gambarmu di pelosok rantau
Yang ada hanya kenangan
Mencengkam dan mendesak
Pencarian tiada hasilnya

Berlalu sambutan kemerdekaan
Berlalu ulangtahun kelahiranmu
Dan Ramadhan ini terasa hambar
Tanpa senyum dan keletah mesramu

Di bulan September yang pedih
Penemuan yang menggemparkan
Pilu dan amarah silih berganti
Satu negara menangisi

Sungguh dia bukan manusia
Juga dia tak layak bergelar haiwan
Kerana jiwa gelapnya
Lebih hitam dari pekat malam

Kami tidak dapat membayangkan
Azab yang ditanggung
Tubuh kecilmu
Tapi kami pasti
Kau tentunya tersenyum
Menghadap Tuhanmu
Yang Maha Penyayang

Al-Fatihah

Outdated Foto - Ballarat, Australia

Yellow field! I don't know what kind of flower this is,it does'nt even have nice smell but it look great for a photo shot. Along side road leading to Ballarat. We kind of "jakun" a bit...so, we just stop at the road side and took turn posing...Although the weather was clear, the wind was quite chilling, hence, the thick wind-breaker was really a good companion for Malaysian like me who all her life so used to our hot and wet climate.

This happened in September last year

Outdated Foto - Weekend Trip (Down Under)

About a year ago around this time, I was attending a telecommunications workshop in Melbourne, Australia. For this year, 2 of my colleagues here will attend the same event, so, somehow it reminded me of the good memory I had there. I still have some of the photos I took during that trip. It's a nice country to visit. Of course, Malaysia is the place I wanna be...always...but for a short change, Australia is some of the foreign land I would like to visit other than the land of rising sun (Japan) and New Zealand. Those are my favourites. I've been to Japan in year 2000 for about 3 weeks and I have a foster family in Toyama Prefecture. However, I've now lost contact with them. The main barrier is not only distance but the language as well.
These shot was taken at a seaside of Bellarine, Australia. At that time, me and few fellow Malaysian attending the same course were on our way back from a trip to Ballarat. We stop for lunch here. We ate the nasi goreng which I prepared using ingredients we bought from Asian Grocery near Saville at Russel Street. From here, we took a ferry to Morning Peninsular. Then, drove back to Melbourne. It was during the ferry ride, I met with a Singaporean lady and she alerted me to look for dolphin. She told me that sometimes few dolphin would swim close to the ferry. I am just lucky as I spotted one dolphin. When I called my friends, it was nowhere to be seen.
I hope this would not be my last visit to this country.

Tragedi Bulan September

It's September already. How fast! I don't even have one story for August. Poor August. Not that there's nothing happen throughout the month...too many actually, I don't have time to sit properly and spell them out. For instant, the 'balik kampung' event and some updates related to driving/road traffic experiences. Uh-oh...I did get one unlucky "stretch mark" on the car this month...I was overly "close" to the guard house divider one fine morning and when I realized it, it was way too late..so, scratchhhhhh....the sound reached my ears and I managed to stop just in time to prevent further unwanted marks. I did get some stern advice from hubby...of course, I tried to remain calm and 'cute' at that time...so, I managed to survive the lecture session quite successfully.
